Lunch February 5, 2010

I just realized I owe the restaurants their due for posting photos of their food.  Anyway, I'll start including the restos in my entries.  Entries in this fitness blog.

Again, fitness blog, not a food blog.  (Sure fucker, you're laughing now, wait til I get back in shape!  Harhar)

We spent a bit of time out on field, checking the setup in our accounts.  This isn't a blog about my office work so I won't dwell on that too much.

We drove off after to Chicken Inato in San Jose, Puerto Princesa.  They just opened a few weeks ago.

I had the following:

Ang Walang Kamatayang Pancit

Yup, that's what it's called.  Rice Noodles, some bean sprouts, squid and shrimp, dabbed with a bit of oyster sauce, sprinkled with onion leaks and some basil.  I gotta tell you, best noodles ever.  Hindi nakakasuya.

Chicken Inato, breast part.

Because I love breast, I ordered Chicken Inato Breast part.  It was not as great as I would've wanted it to be.  It's not bad, its just the usual chicken inato, inasal, whatever you want to call it.  The most difficult part about it though was taking off the skin and putting it on a separate plate, to be eaten later by the fairies of the underworld, aka maggots.

We ordered soup too.

This came in as a surprise too.  It said Bulalong Yamang Dagat in the menu, but my teammates said it was just bulanglang.  Nonetheless, I enjoyed it.  The texture was fantastic, quite close to the consistency of pinakbet sauce (the part that's left in the mangkok) - attributed to the pumpkin.  It had a bit of squid, shrimp, and some fish too.  The best part was the fresh malunggay leaves which was really great because of its wonderful healing abilities.  Yes, Wolverine grew up on Malunggay.

Overall, I give the place a 347 over 500.  Criteria?  Sakin nalang yun!!!

Can't wait to burn off the calories I took in.
