Monday - Wednesday Diet and Excercise

Damn you!

Damn you all!

This is all your fault! This was supposed to be a path to fitness blog. Not a fucking food blog! Damnit! This is all your fault! Everyone's fault! Kasalanan ninyo bakit ako mataba!

Lintek.

Sunday dinner was fun. We had white chicken and ginger sauce with crazy onion leaks, Adobong Manok, Brown rice, and a few other stuff.

Yes I am not in a diet anymore.

I had one whole melon I think. Because the melon was so sweet. Aww man, if the melon was human, i'd leave trina to marry it.

Before going home i decided to pass by the bar and look around. Found out the boys were there too. So 30mins became 6 hours of hanging out, had a couple of bottles of san mig lite and half a cable car burger.

The next day, i woke up and drove to Batino for a meeting. No more breakfast, which was the biggest mistake of that day. Lunch was in Shakeys.

Shakeys.

Sha-mutherfucking-keys. I love Shakeys. If Shakey's was human, i'd leave trina for it.

I had 2 slices of pepperoni crunch, around 12pcs of mojos, 6 squid rings, a serving of spaghetti, 2 pcs fried chicken and 2 glasses of iced tea.

there goes the project.

At night, i drove to our batch Christmas party in Conti's. It was great, since I haven't seen them in a while. I didn't eat there because i promised myself i was going to eat dinner at the bar.

Went to Carlo's wife's party and had 2 whiskey's, then drove to the bar to hang out again. There i had a small cable car sisig rice, which was fanfuckingtastic.

Tuesday - Wednesday, was a blur. I could remember.

Oh, for today's lunch i went to edwin's for some fried rice, siomai, chopsuey, lechon kawali.

What? you got a problem with that?

You'd think she'd quit after that heavy breakfast.

No.

Trina only thinks about food when she's with me. It's not my fault at all. Look at us. It's obvious which one of us loves food.

...

Shuttup.

Okay so we had a heavy breakfast. A heavy heavenly breakfast of pancakes, bacon, cheese omellete and black coffee. I chose black coffee because it has zero calories. O diba.

For lunch, I wasn't hungry at all. I didn't even want to eat anymore.

But. But but but.

Trina was on top of things. She forced me to eat lunch. Soup, adobo and brown rice. I had this:



I managed to eat a small portion of what she intended to force me to. I promised myself that will be my last meal of the day.

Since I was so full, there was only one logical, healthy thing to do.

Burn it. I thought of so many things. I wanted to run. Run the tanay trail, where mountainbikers take their machines. I wanted to swim. I wanted to go to the clubhouse and swim a few laps, ala Phelps. I wanted to play basketball. I wanted to sweat, just a bit.

Thinking made me real tired, and so, I decided to sleep.

I slept for less than an hour I think. Trina slept beside me too, while the girls did their FB and Plurk and Twitter in the same room. After 30 mins or so, I woke up to the idea of merienda. I wanted to eat anything, because thinking made me burn so much calories.

I ended up cooking and eating a healthy snack of cheesy chicken fingers fried in oil with cream cheese dip, instant la paz batchoy, omelette with low fat milk, and a quarter of pomelo.

After burning all those calories chewing on food, I decided it wasn't enough. I also wanted to stretch a bit and get a sweat going, but trina won't allow me to pick a fight with the carpenters in a nearby construction site. That is why I dragged her by her hair and we went to the clubhouse to swim a few laps.

It was crazy. The water was freezing like beer below zero. My nipples and ears were starting to frost when i stopped to call it quits, after swimming around 10 laps.

wait, now i think i'm messing it up.

I don't remember which came first, sleeping or swimming.

Oh well.

I found Mico playing XBox and decided to school his ass on XBox gameplay. Chris Mullin and Alonzo Mourning shoved a pile of kickass on Derrick Rose's ass. We were so worked up we decided to break sweat in real life. We grabbed our shoes and nut huggers and basketball shorts and ran to the nearest basketball court to play a bit of one on one.

needless to say, i schooled Mico's arse. He's pretty good for a kid, but not good enough. I didn't even break sweat:


Crazy crazy day. Had fun hanging out with Trina and the kiddos. I missed playing basketball too. More than anything, this RPM project made me rediscover the activities that i genuinely enjoy.

#2 don't diet when trina's around. she only thinks of food all the time.

The past few days i was with her i had ultra heavy meals.

Sinigang na ribs, and white chicken for brunch. Grabe yung ginger sauce man. Sarap.

Merienda i think i had two servings of a buffet plate from the BLDY Christmas party we attended.

Dinner we went to Big Buddha and proved Sheldon's theory of 4 people eating in a chinese restau. Tamad na ko to explain.

Swimming

Last night was enlightening.

I spoke to my friend Robby, who is a pretty credible source for getting in shape, because he is in fact, in shape.

All the sexy abs. I just want to rub him with coconunt oil. Ahay.

...

That was disturbing.

Anyway, we had a pretty much long talk about fitness.

First, he told me to stop eating rabbit food. Dieting does not work. (Thank God. Be prepared to read through sumptous meals from now on.) He said yes, i'll lose weight with diet, but it won't be sustainable. And then, when you get tired of it all, you end up bloating up because you starved yourself with real good food.

He basically said to eat what i want but to lessend the portions. Doable.

Eat on time. Doable.

Don't quit on one food group. Doable!!!

For fitness, running everyday for my weight is a bad idea. I'll have sore muscles, sore knees (yeah my right knee is killing me.)

Basically, he said running is okay, but i don't have to kill myself. he also reminded me of other excercises! To help my knee, i should run 3 times a week. and then do weights or other excercises that are not too hard on my knees.

This made a lot of sense, since after 1,200 M of running, my right knee started to f*k up.

...

The plan:

Walking and swimming daily, until i build enough muscle strength to run again.

Eat what i want, but not eat the whole buffet. Just a bit of it. Good.

Let's see where this gets me.

Now let me finish my carbonara and chicken yakitori.

I just finished snacking on an apple. a few hours into the day and i'm freaking hungry all the time! How do people do it? How!

Patience is key.

I've decided to eat healthier, and that doesn't mean eating less.

And living a healthy lifestyle does not mean dieting on oatmeal and warm water. cucumber for snacks and a sugarcube for dessert.

It means living a healthy active lifestyle.

...

But f*k dude i freaking need a slab of steak right now.

I can't help but think of crispy crunchy dinuguan of kanin club.

Quarter pounder meal from Mickey D's

Palawan spaketchup with lots of keso from that store here in Puerto Princesa.

Trina's home made Mac N Cheese. Oh damnit i think i can eat that everyday.

That sofitel breakfast. Looks likfe lunch buffet, but yeah breakfast.

I want KitKat with Dark Chocolate Drumstick.

I want to drink 6 bottles of below zero San Mig Lite. And 5 Slices of pizza.

.. Damnit. Pizza.

and so it begins.. again.

I got back to Puerto yesterday. It was a relief because i knew i was away from people and situations that make me cheat the project.

Got up at 5am since my mom was driving me to the airport. I was still tired as i had to pass by cable car and see the place. in all fairness it still has potential. and knowing the people who are going to run it now it'll be a fat cash cow. hopefully. i want to buy my mom a car. hahaha.

i got to the airport around 6 something, checked in and dashed to my favorite kiosk to grab a wanton-chicken mami and and order of siomai. this is what i have everytime i fly early.

for lunch, i wasn't feeling hungry plus i thought i needed to get back on my project, so i bought 330g box of fitnesse and a liter of lowfat from the warehouse. i had a bowl of fitnesse for lunch. fanfu**ntastic.

i got home earlier than usual, and so i had time to run. it was the first time i was going to run in a while, so i loaded up again on sugar by eating a green apple and made sure i had enough water on me so i drank a 330mL of water.

i went to the oval and saw that it was more active in the afternoon, at a distance, you'll see a group playing ultimate frisbee, in one corner of the complex a couple of wannabe pacmans and at the field soccerboys.

i started warming up and stretching. i found out i haven't strectched enough after a round (1000M) when my calf started to cramp. i quickly got off the track and found my stretching corner and stretched again. I was thinking of going home and resting, but decided not to, as I really want to make this work. plus how would it sound like on my blog then huh?

ended up running 6kms, walking 3.

this morning, i got up to fix myself some cereals again, as i dressed up for some more running time. it was pretty late for a morning run and the sun was up, after 2 rounds, a voice was telling me to rest and continue in the afternoon. my knee was being a pussy again, so that doubled up, but i did not stop. instead i pushed myself again, sweating like a pig, finishing the task for the morning.

again, ran 6, walked 3.

good job to me.

had an apple right after while resting before going to work.

let's see how it pans out today.

Sunday was cheat day, because trina likes cheating the RPM Project
Monday i had work until 6 and then SL1 xmas party
Tuesday I had work until 6 again, had to drive through bad traffic in alabang, had to go to cable car to look around too

Earlier today I bought a bow of Fitnesse and Nestle Low Fat milk, to join trina's 14 day challenge.

Mine will be part of the project, as I won't stop after 14days.

Today, was another involuntary cheat day because it was our region's xmas party.

Mechado Lunch - December 13, 2009

For lunch today, we had mechado. It was a beautiful sight.

It is cheat day anyway. But, I was actually still full from breakfast, so I decided not to eat too much. I put some on my plate, just enough to satisfy the pallet.

4 cubes beef
1 quarter of a potato
2 spoons of rice



And then for dessert, i had a slice of fried banana with condensed milk. (yeah there's two in the picture but one was eaten by the cheater, trina.)

Teacher trina = cheater trina.



Mac N Cheese for later.

Will play basketball in a while, hope I could burn up a good sweat. Gotta get my right knee checked though. It's hurting in a weird way.

Sunday Trina Day - December 13, 2009

Went to Bureau last night with the usual suspects. I had 2 bottles of beer and 2 glasses of kurrant. How much calories were involved in that murder? No one knows.

I drove to trina's house and got here around 345am. We were supposed to jog at 530am because we were planning to binge on food today. So much plans.

Alas, i did not get up. Trina "jogged" without me. "jogged" because she didn't really jog, didn't even break sweat she told me. Walking with the oldies was not such a chore.

After taking a bath this morning, I went down to the dining area to check if breakfast was ready. There was no food though, and the only thing tita gene offered me was today's newspaper.

Needless to say, i was starving. I am rye, therefore I am hungry all the time.

Trina came down to the dining area as well after her bath. It was then that I realized we were wearing the same shirt. We looked like an asian couple. (naks politically and racially correct).



Anyway I whispered to trina I wanted to cook breakfast.

I wanted breakfast for champions. WWE Champions.

Menu for the day:

Aligue Fried Rice cooked in, well, oil.



Scrambled egg with healthy anti-cancer tomatoes and cream cheese, and milk.


And Bacon cooked in its own tub of mutherf*in oil. Iggyeah. With wasabi mayonnaise. Just because.


Here's the culprit who masterminded the bacon incident:


Finished product? My whole week's recommended energy nutrient intake in one meal.


After eating I felt soooo bad i asked trina if we could jog.

She said NO. With finality.

Today's been unofficially declared cheat day by the biggest fitness and diet cheater, trina. I absolutely have no more say in this, she has final word on all things.

I managed to convince her to walk though, "para matunawan". My right knee started to hurt again, and that is why instead of running or walking to burn off the calories from that meal, i am being a keyboard jock and blogging about my non-run/non-jog.

Cheat day it is.

Looking forward to the rest of today's meals. We are planning to cook a wicked merienda, Mac N Cheese, and some roast chicken breast.

I am thinking of what activity to complement my nutrition intake today.

Thinking of playing hoops with Mico later in the afternoon, or laps in the swimming pool. Or both. Or maybe I'll run again, after basketball and swimming.

That'll take care of the bacon.

Dona Soledad

Just got back from jogging the whole length of dona soledad. Was told one way is around a kilometer. Or more.

Anyway I did 4 rounds, the last trip was walking nalang, as my thighs were heating up real bad, plus my right knee was being such a pussy.

Maybe tomorrow i'll do more.

I want to swim too. San kaya pwede.

I'm craving for sango burger. Yakiniku rice burger.

f*k. hmm.

Wait, time to get ready, off to see the friends and then trina's house.

Sabado December 12, 2009 Dinner

Okay officially announcing I don't understand how blogspot dates my posts, all of my posts this morning 12/12/2009 are dated 12/11/2009.

Bugger.

Anyway so I got home from Palawan. I drove again in Metro traffic and it kind of killed me, so I have all the reason to be hungry.

And of course, that is bad news.

My mom does not know how to mess up a dish. You tell her to cook a flat iron, she'll probably stew it with tomatoes, carrots, some beans and magic spices. And then you end up munching on a flat iron.

I am not exaggerating.

So I asked her what she cooked for dinner. She knows i'm on a freaking diet so she told me i have a choice between breaded pork chop, and white rice or melons.

I thought of all the hard work i put into this "getting back in shape" campaign this week.

I thought of my sore ankle and knee.

I thought the sound of the soles of my rubbers shoes scratching pavement, since i was scuffing in exhaustion.

I made a choice.

I ate breaded porkchop and white rice. I used UFC hot and spicy ketchup.

I had half a cut of porchop, no fat and skin, and half a cup of rice.

and then more rice, no more porkchop, just ketchup (you got a problem with that punk?)

And so goes my never ending battle with real food. I eat, I jog.

So I'm off to jog now, to burn the fat off.

Sabado Lunch

Walked into the pantry like a zombie. It was 12.02 and i was hungry. I swear I was so ready to give up my commitment.

I saw some menudo, some chicken and corn soup, white rice and ampalaya with egg.

It wasn't that fantastic but it was a far cry from the tuna canned i've been having. I quickly grabbe spoon and fork and a plate and sat down.

Took me thinking though that I really need to make sacrifices. damnit!

I got half a cup of rice, a spoonful of menudo, a spoonful of ampalaya and some soup. half a mug.

after eating i was still hungry. oh for the love of god. i sat there with my plate empty thinking if i should get seconds. but i didn't. i stood up and rushed to my pc to write about it.

this sh*t really helps.

now i really need to grab a banana for later. i'm anticipating hunger in the airport.

Saturday

I got up really early because of hunger pangs.

really early like at 2am.

I'm serious. I don't know why but I did. Hunger pangs. It's not like I didn't eat anything! My body's been so used to gorging on meat heavy meals the past few years.

so i got up from bed.

ouch.

my right ankle was sore! my right knee was sore! are you serious?

so my stomach was acting funny, my right knee was hurting, my right angle was sore. my left shoulder was making these popping sounds.

I got up and i made outmeal with tuna. Yes it sounds disgusting, but i felt like the fiber would help with the tummy aches.

I quickly decided my body won't cooperate today, so i texted gerald not to wait for me at the oval as i decided to rest for the day.

i slept til 630am and then fixed myself instant noodles (it was the last one in the cupboard give me a break!) and a tuna sandwich and an apple. plus water.


this will be a looooong ride.

eyes on the prize though. eyes on the f*ing prize.

Green

I got home dead tired and shaking from exhaustion.

I suddenly had memories of the days when basketball used to be life. when i was 135 lbs.

I smiled.

I entered the house and took a shower. Love the feeling of the loofah scrubbing skin after workout. Squeaky clean right after.

And I was dead hungry. I was imagining a thin crust friday's special from shakeys, an order of spaghetti and mojos, and of course some chicken dipped in hot gravy. My usual order when i'm not that hungry.

but again, i remembered how much pain i had to endure to burn the merienda feast i had. I opened the fridge and saw the apples that i bought from NCCC.


took 2 green apples and sliced each one into 4 pieces.

nom nom nom nom nom nom nom.

yum.

so delicious.



so filling.

i love healthy food. esp fruits.

okay i'm lying. terrible. bleh. i hate rabbit food.

After my pancit-dinuguan-puto pao feast yesterday afternoon, i couldn't help but feel guilty and well, bloated. like a girl with her period.

good thing i had basketball schedule with armel.

thing was i didn't have clothes to do this anymore. brought them to the cleaners earlier yesterday. i only had some collared shirts, some slacks, and black socks. oh and a healthy supply of nut huggers.

i was going to bail when i imagined my tummy coating with pigs blood, bloated with noodles of bihon and puto pao. the stuff was melting and being funneled into the calorie manufacturing depot, and when unused will turn into fat.

No.

I will not be a victim. I went to NCCC to buy shorts and a jersey that said denver nuggets. black and green. reversible pa. hanep.

I remember MJ's words again. "you miss 100% of the shots you don't take."

It's been almost a year since my last basketball game, and i was sure i'll make a fool out of myself, but I kept remembering MJ's words. "...shots you don't take."

and so I played. I played with all my heart. I took all the shots i could. Even those I couldnt.

After 45mins, I had zero points in my statbook.

One of our distributor salemen (woman actually) is celebrating her birthday today. Her name's Lani.

This is what transpired 20 minutes ago:

"Sir ansarap ng pagkain. Dinuguan, pancit, at puto pao"

"Di ako gutom!"

"Sir minsan lang to, forget mo muna diet mo"

"Ayoko!" I went down to the pantry to "greet lani"

I knew it. It was a trap. A conspiracy to lead me astray.



I fought back.

But caught a whiff of the dinuguan.

I said "no. i will not be swayed"

I saw a tiny orange shrimp on the pancit.

I said "the Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want!"

I saw the itlog na pula on the puto pao.

PATAY TAYO DIYAN.

The little pig went to the market

Okay so I went to the supermarket today because i'm running out of healthy food to eat at home. I bought the following:

1) century tuna lite (i was looking for that tuna in water jun was actually telling me about but to no avail)
2) several pieces of pipino (cucumber)
3) 8 pcs of red apple
4) 6 pcs of green apple
5) loaves of wholewheat bread

and a can opener.

So, for lunch today, I had half a can of tuna and 3 slices of bread, plus a cucumber, which i dipped in vinegar.

It was DELICIOUS.

Yeah it wasn't. But there are stuff I really have to do. Even if it means eating a terrible lunch.

Maybe i should make a more tasty sandwich spread. I need mustard though..

for dinner later i'll choose between a red or green apple.

Either that or f*k it, i'm going to order in a thin crust pizza, some mojos, some chicken and a spaghetti.

Lessons Learned

Okay so I got home really early last night, but it was raining. I took my beef noodles and 2 pcs of egg and cooked noodle soup.

Okay yeah so i'm still not the healthiest eater but i'll get there. I'm slowly transitioning from big meals to smaller meals to healthier meals. right now im in the middle of big and small.

Today i woke up at 4am. Got a message from Gerald though that they were resting so I decided to sleep too, until at 630am i got up and asked myself "damnit what am i going to put in my blog today"

so i got up, cooked noodles and 2 eggs again (okay i need to go to the grocery and but real food) and dressed up and drove to the PPS Oval. ran a total of 2KM and walked 800M more.

I plan to eat less also today. Since i didn't get to do a real workout.

Lessons learned:
1) no noodles or soup or too much water before jogging. I almost barfed (that would've been so annorexic).
2) jog at 4am and not at 630 to avoid heat stroke at 8.

Okay so from now on, i'll be documenting everything I eat, as well as my daily physical activities to help me get to the prize.

December 9, 2009

I started my daily routine (hopefully that's how it ends up) yesterday, December 9, 2009.

I ran with Gerald, Jonathan, and Merj, running an urban trail of around 5kms. After, I jogged in the Puerto Princesa oval, 3 times so that's another 1.2 kms, total of 6ish kms yesterday.

Breakfast:
Calvendra's Bulalo (yup, diet food) and a cup of rice

Lunch:
Tortang talong, like a small piece
Menudo, 2 spoonfuls
a cup of rice

Dinner
Maggi Noodles (beef) 3 pcs. Hahaha. (okay so this way out of line)

December 10, 2009

Woke up today at 445 to jog again with the usual suspects. Ran a total of 5.8kms

Breakfast:
Jollibee Corned Beef Breakfast

Lunch:
Half a cup of rice
3 pcs shrimp
And some fish

hahaha. I gotta learn to measure food.
