So I think I'm running again. Hopefully I sustain this. And prove that this is a fitness blog first, food blog occassionally. And not the fucking other way around.
TUESDAY
Tuesday I left the office a bit later than usual, around 645. It was summer solstice, they said. Well it looked like it too 'cause there was still some sunlight left, a bit of clouds. Nice sight actually, a mix of grey, light blue, orange and black when you look at the sky.
Anyway I got home and put on my running attire - again, running shoes, black socks from work, shorts from work and my vneck undershirt. Hahaha.
This time though, I did a bit more walking since my legs and quads felt really stiff. I walked 6 rounds of the oval, around 2.4kms, and then started my run-as-fast-as-you-can 200m and walk-easy 200m. By the 3rd round I felt like giving up but I kept telling myself I had to at least surpass my 5 run-walk round Monday.
By the 4th round I was literally out of breath and was just pushing myself to brisk walk the last 10m. The 200m "rest" was a welcome break from my smoker's lungs too.
5th round. I realized half way that I wasn't breathing right. Breathe in through the nose, breathe out through the mouth.
I finished. It wasn't easier physically, but I actually felt the difference in my lungs. Suddenly I didn't feel like fainting in the last 5m of the run part.
Sixth. Seventh.
Seven rounds. Finished it. It was one of those "success!" moments. I was alone but I had this smirk on my face not even Brock could wipe off.
WEDNESDAY
Wednesday was very different though, as I had guests from Manila doing some audit for some category in the accounts in PPS.
I initially wanted to run (and actually did go home early) but I realized I was being a bad host so I went back to pick him up and went to Kinabuch to grab a bite. A lot. Hahaha. We had beef salpicao, pinaputok na samaral, green mango salad, and some woodworm or tamilok. I had 2 cups of rice.
THURSDAY
Today was a looooong day for me at work. I couldn't detail stuff here but you know how stressful things can be. I got home around 6.30 so I dressed up - this time in board shorts, a bastketball jersey, quarter socks and my running shoes. I decided also to walk all the way from my house to the oval, the distance of which I couldn't determine as of the moment, but took me 35mins to walk.
I did 9 rounds of run-as-fast-as-you-can 200m and walk-easy 200m. I was breathing in through my nose, and out through my mouth.
I'm finally getting it!
On the way home though my legs were really tired, but alas, I had no money on me. I HAD TO WALK BACK TO MY HOUSE again.
I got here and guess what I have no food in the fridge!
Forced exercise, forced diet.
I really hope this works.
