Merienda January 31, 2010

I went through Sunday as slowly as I can, surfing the net, for irrelevant stuff, practicing on virtual dj.  It was a pretty easy Sunday, but boredom usually makes me hungry.

So I ate.

I got a jar of sardines on red sauce, a few cloves of chopped fresh garlic, a generous serving of extra virgin olive oil and pepper.  Simmered until it dried up a bit.  Got 3 cups of white rice, and mixed.

Sardinas Rice

Surprisingly tasted pretty much like Aligue Rice!  Less the bad effing cholesterol.  Not bad.  Although too much carbo for a guy who last sweat two (2) weeks ago.

Yikes.

Lunch January 31, 2010

So I didn't get to spend the whole day with Trins because of unforeseen reasons, but thats okay as it was sorted our early.

I wasn't supposed to eat lunch anymore, as we had breakfast a bit late.  Plus I could still taste the ampalaya juice, despite the brushing of teeth.

Anyway, my mom told me to eat a bit of the chopsuey she prepared, so I grabbed half a cup of brown rice and a serving or two of chopsuey.

It was fantastic.  Malinamnam and all.

chopsuey

It's always so difficult not to eat when I'm home.  There's always something good inside the fridge, ready for heating!  But I can't keep eating.

Good thing Jones gave me sites to visit and read.  These might take my mind off the craving.

Or maybe I can just gobble on that Crunch bar I have in the fridge.

*dun dun dun dun dun...

Okay I hope this works.

Breakfast January 31, 2010

I was supposed to run this morning.

Supposedly.  But someone didn't want to.  So I chose to stay indoors as well. (kasalanan mo talaga bakit ako mataba.)

I spent most of the morning downloading 90s HipHop.  Looking forward to that VirtualDJ program I'm getting sometime soon from JFour.

At around 845 my tummy started to grumble and I knew that was my cue to beg Trina to cook breakfast.  The cook was starting to cook longganisang baguio already, so I asked Trina if we could prepare Cheese Omelette (the ham was still frozen).

Anyway, here's what I had for breakfast.  Yum!

Loved breakfast.

But I really need to shed some weight off.

Lord help me.

Finally

I'm finally out of the hotel.  Finally out of the vacuum that is Spiral.  Oh dear Moses, why can't I turn food away.  It's crazy.

Better look for new activity.  This blog's getting boring.  Time to work.

Living in a hotel is bad for my health.

I haven't had any runtime for the past few days, as i've been flying back and forth from PPC, as well as attended our sales conference.

Very very difficult to maintain diet in a hotel where they serve the best buffet (in my opinion).  Haven't had the chance to take pictures of any of my meals though.  Maybe later..

Later pigs.

The New Baby

I love it.

Macbook Pro 13".  New blogging tool.  New tool to surf.  Bet this will be one of my most sulit purchases.

Yes, I haven't had any physical activity lately.  last week, I was able to run 3km each for 3 days, but that's it.  And it was very very difficult because I was then living in a hotel.

This week ulit.

Wish me luck.

Hey.  At least I have a new laptop. :)

Ciao.

January 16, 2010 Saturday Morning

Slept here in Trina's house.  Trina woke me up around 730, telling me she didn't want to run with me because she was having tummy pains.

Monthly unwanted visitor.

So I ran.  Was planning to do two again, but trina laughed at me, saying I was so gay for not trying harder.

I did three.  I think I need more push from people.

Can you help me with that?  Can you follow up on me everytime I don't post?  Can you?  Huh?

Hahaha.  Ulul.

Okay so I did 3.

For breakfast, I had a cup of brown rice, some tinapang bangus, fried egg, and chopped kamatis.  It was awesome.

I've also grown to love my new drink - iced thin black coffee.  zero calories.  Love it!

I've had three glasses already.  Hahaha.

Okay let's see how this day pans out.

Ciao!

January 14, 15

I didn't have access to blogger the past few days, hence absence of any update.  It's good though, that I managed to plug in some physical activity this week.

THURSDAY

I woke up early, around 6am to run another 4 rounds around our area.  So that's about 2.2 kms.  Went back and did a few goofy push ups and nerdy bicep and tricep exercises with my pink dumbells.  Yeah they're pink and I'm weak, so what mutherfucker.  We got a problem with that?

I drove to Balayan also to do DCAR for a distributor.  Don't ask me what it is anymore you've no business knowing anyway.  For lunch we went to a place called La Tienda's.  They served good rabbit food.  Organic and all.  Trina would've killed me if I took her there.  The food was, suffice to say, OKAY.  not good, but OKAY.  They were pretty healthy though.  So i munched on them like a fucking retard.

Pasta

They were pretty bland.

oh before that I had this.  well 2 bowls of this.  some rabbit food with balsamic vinegar.

This was good though.  Grilled dory.  Brown rice and some chopped tomatoes.

We drank lemon grass juice.  It was terrible.  I finished the whole glass though.  Felt as if I was finishing a bottle of Joy Ultra.

Can't remember what I had for dinner.  I don't think I ate dinner though.

FRIDAY

Friday I woke up a bit later and was thinking of not running anymore, since I was such a pussy.  But I got dressed and ran.  2kms again.  Nothing fancy, but i'll get there.  Goal is to be able to do 5kms this month.  and then improve gradually.

Lunch I forgot.  Oh some fried fish and rice and monggo from the carinderia near the distributor.  We were so hungry we decided we wanted "fastfood" instead.

Hope I am able to sustain this blog.

See you.

St. Augustine, pray for me.

It's been 9 freaking days since my last post.  And it was about ground rules and all that hooplah about getting back into it.

The Project.

The plan was to lay all the ground rules, so I have basis and some kind of foundation that I could build on.

A framework.

A plan.

Well, needless to say, as well as evident in the fucking vaccuum from January 4 - January 13, I failed again.  The week went by as a blur, a blur of malt beer, nachos, burgers, sisig rice, double rice, fucking cakes and a lot of soda.

So much for foundations, frameworks and ground rules.

That is why, today, the minute I opened my eyes, I freshened up, put on my jogging attire and dashed out of the house to jog in Dona Soledad.

I jogged/walked 2.2 kilometers this morning.

It was pretty evident that I was weaker, because my legs warmed up really fast, and then burned out on my the way back (I was planning to go 3 rounds, = 6.6 kilometers.)  The legs, the knees, the body, was starting to kill me.

Blame it on the fucking macNcheese.

When I got back home I gobbled up a glass of cold water and ate my breakfast - Tuna Pesto Wholewheat sandwich.  Pretty good actually.

And then this.  This blog.  Hope I could sustain my project, as well as this blog.

St. Augustine, pray for me.

The Plan

2010 Plan

I have completely run away from the RPM Project during the holidays. It was a pretty difficult task since I always had really really good food in front of me 24/7.

Needless to say, I will also lose the BIGGEST LOSER FGDI edition, since instead of losing weight during the holidays, I have started gaining weight again.

It is vital though, to revisit, where I had gone wrong. It is important to re-evaluate the process, to better understand, and then plan, on how to go about these things from now on.

FAIL FACTORS

1) Discipline. It was not because of the Christmas season per se, but because I did not have discipline. I was a willing victim. This, I think is everyone’s problem during Christmas season. It is a time to be jolly, but not time to get fat. The cold weather encourages you to hide under a comforter, rub your naked feet on the smooth bedsheet. This while watching your favorite DVD, going out of the room only to grab another bag of Cheetos Jalapeno. 170 calories per serving, 8 servings per bag. FUCK.
2) Absence of a daily physical activity plan. This resulted fatigue, sore muscles and joints, complete disregard of a physical activity plan.

It is not difficult to trace the failure. But there is still hope. The only way to win a race is to get back up again.

Current Stats:
Weight: 81.6 Kilograms
Waistline: 35.5 Inches

Target:
Weight: 68 Kilos
Waistline: 32 Inches

My original goal a 30 inch waistline is now disregarded since according JunS: “panget nun, sobra payat”

Okay.

No timelines, but I’ll have to do it as healthy as possible. I will set the rules now:

Don’ts:
1) No more softdrinks or powdered juices. These will be replaced with water.
2) No second cup of rice for any reason.
3) No more pork.
4) No more chocolates or chips or any kind of junk food.

Do’s:
1) Morning exercise. Gradually increased as seen fit. (see physical activity details below).
2) Afternoon exercise. Gradually increased as seen fit. (see physical activity details below).
3) More fiber in diet (see dietary plan)
4) More fruits and juices (natural/shake) in diet.

Saturday and Sunday will be cheat day. Only applicable to food rules, and only to lunch or dinner. I am not allowed to cheat both in a day.

Physical Activity Fitness Plan:

Step 1:
Log in base for the following:
Pushups
Situps
Bicep Dumbell Exercise
Tricep Dumbell Exercise
Shoulder Dumbell Exercise

Step 2:
Log the data in the blog

Step 3:
Increase reps of the following

This is to be combined with a cardio exercise daily.

To summarize:

Mornings will be for cardio (running/jogging/swimming) while afternoon will be for weights.

Saturday and Sunday is also included in the fitness plan, no ifs, no buts.

BIGGEST LOSER competition with Diane

I also dared our Maggi PC Diane to a BIGGEST LOSER competition. Hope I win that.

Let the games begin!

2010

The first day of the year's about to end.

Today marks my 7th year with Bubbah.  I love you!  (I know you'll read this.  You're my only avid reader.  Hahaha.)

It's been quite a while since my last post.  I think I subconsciously found my diet and excercise efforts futile during the holidays.  I haven't gone back to "the original" weighing scale we used a couple of months ago, for biggest loser FGDI edition, but I think I gained more than I lost in this period.

Blame it on the pancakes.

The lechon.

The Alcohol.

And Cable Car Sisig Rice.

Damnit.

I didn't want to start the year without a post, but I would like to put it on record, and would like to admit it to the world:  I absolutely have no idea how I will start.  Or restart.

RESET?  My favorite button when I had that NES.

RESET.

ps

Anilao Windsurfing and Kiteboarding tomorrow will be interesting.  A couple of days ago, I got to ride again.  Stoked, but damn, my back hurts up until now.
