I finally got some sweat going. I think.
This week has been stressful because of work. And I end up really beat when I get home. I snap on any DVD and bum around until I find the zzz's.
I've also been having breakfast and dinner at home, since I went to the grocery earlier this week. Bought lots of canned tuna, for my tuna mustard sandwich and lots of veggies and some fish for my new steamer.
I planned on having steamed food for the whole week.
Well.
It was Tuesday night I think, and I chopped some onion leaks, some ginger, and mixed it with ground pepper. I then smothered the tanguige with it, drizzled some sesame oil, put it inside aluminum foil and stuffed it inside my bamboo steamer.
20mins. Not ready.
22mins. Still not ready.
23mins. I forgot to use a potholder. Fuck.
Now not only my tummy feels sore.
35 minutes. Finally. Some food.
Forgot to cook rice though. So there. Only steamed fish for Tuesday dinner. Wow.
That I think was the last day of my so-called steamed food diet.
For the rest of the week, I fried.
With canola, with vegetable oil, with olive oil, with regular oil, with butter.
I fried. Wow. 5 mins tops, I ate.
...
So my joints were feeling kinda queasy, and some of my teammates here in Palawan were saying they think I put on some weight again.
Fuckers. I couldn't jog because it hurt my knee.
Swimming.
Yes swimming. Thursday night I changed into my board shorts and went to the olympic size (or so I think) pool that we have in the sports complex. I was approached by Coach Abel.
"Do you have a permit?"
"uhhm no. Pero sabi ng doctor ko kailangan ko na mag exercise, and hindi ako pwede mag jog"
"Ganun?"
"uhhm yessir, kasi sumasakit ang tuhod ko."
"Ahh. May trunks ka? Bawal ang puruntong."
"sir board shorts to e."
"aah. kahit swimming shorts nalang.."
"..."
"teka, sige na nga, bukas bili ka nalang ng trunks."
"..."
....
So I went to shower, and dove into the pool. The water was surprisingly warm. Considering it was 7pm in the evening, and this wasn't even an indoor pool.
"Shit, don't tell me there's too much piss here."
I closed my mouth.
30mins.
...
The next day, I felt better. I felt a little soreness in my deltoids and chest, (naks) so I said I'd do it again.
I rushed to the sports shop and looked for cycling shorts.
They had white, see-through white, and red.
Better I end up like spiderman than some pornstar.
45mins of swimming.
Til next week, spiderfans.

Good Friday Post
I'm watching 7 last words on t.v. right now, sitting on the dining table while watching Trina make jewelry.
It's been almost half a month since my last post. Haven't found the time to do so, or haven't made time to. Nonetheless my blog sat here, "tigang" for almost a month.
I haven't been running, swimming or doing anything physically tiring for me to burn fat. I have been avoiding the weighing scale, fearing the number that'll show up on the screen.
78.6 kilos. That was my number last Wednesday afternoon.
Not too bad, as I peaked at 82.7 last month.
I feel really bloated though, (bading na bading).. Plus, my good friend Carlo's been asking why I put up any entry since forever.
As I said, I haven't been running or doing anything fat burning, so I guess you won't hear any of that from me.
Let me show you some of the stuff I enjoyed the past few weeks.
SANGO!

SANGO!
Trina's always this happy when we're here.
... And so am I. Haha.
Chicken Curry Burger
Trina had the Chicken Curry Burger which was a surprise punch from my favorite place. I guess it's not that visually appealing, and that is why in the countless times I've been there I didn't try it. It's REALLY good. I'm the eat anything, enjoy everything type, but this is something else. I think I can have this on my wedding day.
Chili Cheeseburger
This was also good, but not as good as the curry sandwich Trina had. It had that usual burger taste, made interesting only by the jalapeno chili. It's not that hot as well, so it's right there a bit above the median. I give it a 7.5. Just because I'm hungry again looking at this picture.
Pink (yeah it's supposed to be)
Hahaha. I'm not an effective food blogger (and that's because this is a fitness blog and not a food blog) because I always forget to: 1) Take photos of the food before gorging on them and, 2) keep forgetting their names.
This one's good though. I'm usually really gay and order pink drinks whenever they're available, and this one didn't disappoint me. Drinking it actually feels like that first few kisses in a relationship, those 30sec make out sessions you... okay sorry.
Master Fries.
If drinking the pink drink felt like those kisses, this gave me Os. I love this, and I'll never get tired of eating this. Trina's not a fan of the chopped onions, but when you mix those with the tomatoe ketchup, grab a potatoe finger, spread a bit of the chili, cheese and that chopped onion & tomato ketchup, you get the left hook from the Manny P of the fries.
LULU BELLE.
Don't.
Okay, so what, I've been doing this blog thing for quite a while now, and if you think I'm credible, then don't get anything from Lulu Belle. Just not worth shit. I know because that same week, I tried some from a different shop (which I will write about in a bit.) Anyway don't.
TAPELLA
Yeah, so sometime that week, I texted my man Carlo A, asked him about what resto in Greenbelt was any good, and he said that I should try Tapella. I initially wanted to go to Bubbah Gump, or Cafe Med, but since it was something recommended by the man, and that the man was credible when it comes to the tastey, the classy, and the smut, I gave in. I was not disappointed.
Seafood Chowder
This was awesome. Trina's very picky with soup, but she loved this. And because I love her, I loved the soup as well. Yihee. Hahaha.
Starters: Morrocan Chicken Skewers and Chorizo and Potatoes
Both dishes were really good. I personally liked the Chorizo and Potatoes, really snappy in the mouth. Good stuff, really. The chicken was awesome, but this was something I also tasted somewhere, not sure where. It was really good too, just not unique. I'm sure people who frequent Indian/Persian/Meditarrenean restos have tried this as well.
Creamy Seafood Paella, Salpicado with White Beans
The salpicado was tasty. It was served, inside what looked like a short glass, which reminded me of the little NESCAFE 50g jars, although this was shaped like a woman who watched her weight. It had the right amount of garlic, the beef was tender.
The Paella was really good too. The rice felt right when you chewed it, the lemon, everything in it worked as if it wanted you to come back the next day. The only comment I have for it was that it that kulang ang tutong!! 9 over 10.
A happy boss.
QOOLA.
We also went to this frozen yogurt shop in Greenbelt, which I tried a few weeks before with Alex, Carol and Princess. I kept telling Trina about the white chocolate yogurt, which, was UNavailable when we went there. Too bad. But we enjoyed what we ordered:
Green Tea Yogurt with Strawberries and Mangoes, Chocolate Yogurt with Marshmallows, and Almonds.
Sometime this week, I went to Binan Laguna to cover a few accounts temporarily turned over to me by an officemate who went to Mexico for vacation.
TUDING'S PORKCHOP
Since I was in Binan, I tried Tuding's porkchop, which Reinier my brother, described as: "sobrang sarap."
Tuding's Porkchop
Not disappointing, but not life changing as well. It was nothing special really, but when you combined the vinegar with the soy sauce and some chili powder, the Clark Kent became Superman.
I had two of these because of the vinegar-soy sauce-chili powder sauce.
MILKY WAY HALO HALO
Wednesday night was a night we spent with our good friend Isha. We had dinner in Zaifu (had Ramen, I didn't take pictures, but Isshin Ramen is better). Also had Raspberry Ice Cream from FIC (highly recommended).
We were to bring Isha home when her dad invited us over in Milky Way for some Halo Halo.
Man.
This is definitely on my favorites list now.
This is just a whole new level of Halo halo. This is inarguably the best halo halo I've ever had. I'll ever have I think. If you love Halo Halo, drive to Milky Way (not sure about other branches, but we went to Milky Way Pasay road).
To quote a friend: "Sobrang sarap nito, parang sobrang pinagisipan"
I'm telling you.
The Ice Shavings were really fine, such that it didn't feel like you were biting into to the ice. The Ube Ice Cream was really creamy, the surprise was it was sitting on a real ube cube. The red and green gulaman were, uhhm, gulaman-y. The sweet beans was fantastic - it didn't have that sugar powder coating which I usually hate because it smelled funny in the mouth.
Anyway, REALLY. GOOD.
I am telling you.
I want one now.
Let me get back to you later.
